Duero Engineering Group · Our History

A history of engineering that spans generations

Technical knowledge passed on, experience that evolves and new capabilities applied to energy, water and industrial projects.

MW across installation and modernization projects

These figures reflect the combined track record of our team and the group's member companies. The MW figure refers to the capacity of the units and projects we have taken part in; it does not represent plants we own, energy produced, or capacity installed by a single company.

The 60-plus years of experience refer to the combined track record of the team and the group's member companies, not to the age of a single entity.

Origins and evolution

A track record that predates the current structure.

Technical foundations

Our history draws on more than 60 years of accumulated experience among the people and companies that gave rise to the group. Field knowledge, installation and commissioning are part of that track record, which predates the current organization.

From early references to integration

Documented references include Huites in 1993 and El Cajón in 2004. The corporate CV places the consortium’s beginning in 2011: an integration milestone, distinct from the earlier track record and each company’s legal incorporation.

Evolving capabilities

The track record includes hydromechanical scopes at La Yesca, lock installations in the Panama Canal and water engineering at El Zapotillo and El Cuchillo II. Today it brings together engineering, management, construction and installation for energy, water and industry.

Generations and continuity

Experience is shared. Responsibility is earned.

Continuity across generations of the family is part of Duero’s history. Its value lies in sharing technical knowledge, learning from fieldwork and developing professional judgement with responsibility.

Each generation brings a new perspective to accumulated experience: preserving technical rigour while evolving with the needs of each project.

Continuity into the present

Accumulated experience, applied to the next challenge.

Duero Engineering Group is an organization that brings together engineering, project management, construction and installation for energy, water and industrial projects. Its companies combine design, manufacturing, supply and site execution capabilities, so a single project can be covered from engineering through to commissioning support.

How we work

From contracted scope to documentation handover.

  1. 01

    Scope definition

Review of technical bases, site conditions and interfaces with other contractors to define responsibilities and deliverables.

  2. 02

    Planning

Work schedules, lift sequences, resources, execution procedures and quality and safety plans.

  3. 03

    Coordination

Integration of disciplines, manufacturers and work fronts, with document control and technical communication with the client.

  4. 04

    Execution

Installation, rehabilitation or construction with site supervision, progress control and activity records.
